Do you skip breakfast in the morning because you are busy?

When you’re feeling overwhelmed by your schedule and constantly rushing from one appointment to the next, it’s an incredibly popular decision to skip breakfast altogether. Mornings can really be a race that we feel like we’re constantly losing, so I understand the reasoning behind feeling like there’s no time for breakfast.

After all, when you’re already running a race against the clock, it seems impossible to find the opportunity to sit down to breakfast on top of everything else.

I have been there too. We have all been there. I have certainly felt your confusion and frustration. Your mom probably told you that breakfast was the most important meal of the day, but in case you need another reminder…it’s time to stop skipping breakfast!

Eating breakfast helps improve concentration, memory and even helps improve your mood. Finding a simple, healthy breakfast that works for your busy schedule is pretty easy, and I’ll show you how, so no more excuses to skip breakfast.

But really, it is vital to find time to eat breakfast. You went all night without eating and you need to recharge your body for the next day. Breakfast is the perfect time to get those important vitamins and nutrients your body needs to function well throughout the day.

Here are some of my favorite ideas for a healthy and easy breakfast that fit perfectly into a busy schedule…

Toast with avocado and an egg. This breakfast tastes great and can be prepared in a couple of minutes. The avocado is full of healthy fats and the egg provides you with some of the protein you need to fuel your body well throughout the day.

Perfect fruit, nuts and yogurt. There are delicious plant-based yogurts you should try if you haven’t already – look for local brands in your area. Simply layer yogurt, nuts, fruit, nut butter, and honey to create a delicious breakfast packed with healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals.

Mini breakfast muffins prepared. When you have absolutely no time in the morning, prep them ahead of time and even take them with you. Just toss some egg, spinach, and any other veggies you like into muffin tins, bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes, and they’re ready to go.

Chia night. Mix the oatmeal, chia seeds, honey and a little nut milk in a jar and then leave it overnight in the fridge. You can add any other ingredients you like to make this your own, like cocoa powder, blueberries, or peanut butter.

Don’t overcomplicate it, that’s exactly what causes the feeling of being overwhelmed that prevents you from eating breakfast every day. Get your healthy nutrition in you so you feel good all day.
