Thanks to the NVIDIA graphics card, the PlayStation 3 gamer enjoys scenes that look as real as you can imagine. The sheer quality of the impressive effects, the impeccable visual and oral quality as well. It’s no surprise to hear many say that they have improved to the point where video game systems can truly be compared to the best Hollywood movies.
Add to that the fact that PlayStation 3 offers the unique benefit of being able to give old-school gaming enthusiasts the ability to play familiar games from now-expired PlayStation editions. What this means is that PlayStation 3 gamers enjoy much more choice in terms of games.
Now onto the Xbox 360 console. As you can see, it’s up against some stiff competition in the form of the PlayStation 3, but you may know that there are plenty of good reasons why Xbox is hands down PlayStation’s biggest rival for the title of best of video game systems.
The Xbox has a 512 MB IBM RAM processor and a 3.2 GHz chip. People who are not techies just need to know that what this means is that the Xbox has enormous processing power. The NVIDIA card that powers the PlayStation 3’s graphics is so impressive, it’s literally cool. Everyone who reviews the graphics rendering and rendering speed is almost always totally blown away. The ATI graphics in the Xbox 360 offer a massive speed of 500 MHz which makes the rendering more than impressive and has many saying that this has to be the best of all gaming consoles.
The Xbox 360 has a DVD-ROM drive that certainly can’t compete with the PlayStation’s impressive Blu-ray player. But Xbox is also compatible with CD and DVD formats so you can transform your video game systems into radical home theater systems.
So, there is no doubt that these two valuable consoles provide excellent graphics and present unique and thoroughly exciting games flawlessly.
Weighing the characteristics of one from another is extremely difficult. Almost nothing differentiates them. It throws the price issue into the ring, and in general, it has to be said that the Xbox tends to be less expensive than the PlayStation in most stores. So, you could say that the Xbox 360 is cheaper than the PlayStation 3.
Due to the sheer quality of these two video game systems, any alternative game console will find it extremely difficult to topple these two market leaders. They are all set to maintain their share of the market and no doubt have a number of ideas up their sleeves to further enhance the many great features they have to offer their fanatical user base.
