Finding out you’re having a baby is an exciting feeling, especially if you’ve tried so hard and for so long. You have a wide range of emotions that fill you with everything from joy to anxiety. These are all natural emotions because your hormones are going to have a field day with your body for the next nine months.

You will feel the baby grow inside you. Every month you will discover something new and find a new milestone. The most important milestone at the beginning is when you feel your baby move for the first time. At first it will feel like little flutters or bubbles on your belly. Then you will feel solid movements in the form of blows against the wall of your uterus. The baby moves his arms and legs.

You will find out if you are going to have a boy or a girl. This will fill you with excitement and you will have lots of ideas about what the baby’s room will look like, what the name will be, and what kind of person it will become. Life is new and exciting. You and your partner are looking forward to the baby.

Then the day comes when the baby is born. The newborn is delivered. Crying out loud, the doctor hands it over to you for a quick look before cleaning. You are not sure what to feel. Many women feel love at first sight and are happy to see their little one. But there are many other women who do not have this feeling at first sight and it is fine. They see their little one for the first time and, for some strange reason, they are disappointed. After the long wait and the fertility treatments, you thought you would feel different. Once the baby is cleaned and dressed, the nurses take him away. You might feel a rush of emotions and just want to hug and cuddle this little human that came out of you. If you don’t feel this, don’t worry. Not all women feel that emotion of love at first sight. You know there is a connection, but it is not one of eternal love.

Over the next few days, love will grow. And if you are breastfeeding, this emotion will be stronger due to the amount of hormones flowing through your body. An unconditional love for your little one will grow. It will be so strong that nothing can break it.
