ClickBank is clearly the leading digital marketplace in the web world and has caused a whirlwind of digital product sales and has been the stage for many would-be authors who would not have been noticed in real-world publishing. Let’s not limit ourselves to e-books, any digital product sold on ClickBank may have little to no chance of selling without a platform like ClickBank. Haven’t you made it possible for the entrepreneurial spirit to endure at every provider in your network?

However, there is an inherent delinquency that has been overlooked by the click bank. Theft of digital products is one of the never-solvable problems with ClickBank. However, people find a backdoor to get a pirated version. The following are the various possibilities to get free downloads:

• A product can be stolen by a weak “Thank You” page URL that can be easily guessed
• A complicated URL shared by a customer with their friends
• Simply mailing the product as an attachment.

Apparently, there is no definitive solution to end product piracy, but there are ways to reduce the number of free downloads.

Existing protection methods, such as the ClickBank protection script, a complicated URL, are either very weak or not easily accessible. ClickBank offers a code to protect their ‘thank you’ page, that’s definitely good, but the kicker is no matter how good the code is, a vendor needs technical expertise to customize it for each of their products. The complicated URL method can always be shared by a customer with his friends and thus loss of sales.

I’m a web developer and have several clients (ClickBank vendors) who ask me to protect their thank you pages (from being posted on forums and search engines). Based on the ClickBank API, I recently secured download pages for a client. In the process, I also saw many other providers charging around $50 per month. I’d say it’s a ROBBERY.
