The Yeedi Vac 2 Pro is an interesting robot vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It comes with a mopping module that attaches to the back of the robot. It uses a vibration cleaning system to loosen dirt from floors.
It can map a home on its first run, but the mapping process is slow and it doesn’t always work well. It also doesn’t work very well if you have both hard floors and carpet.
It’s easy to set up
Unpacking the yeedi Vac 2 Pro is relatively easy, and it’s quick to set up. You just have to scan the QR code under the lid or in the Instruction Manual and then use the yeedi app on Android or iOS to install it, choose a region and language, and agree to the user agreement and privacy policy.
Once connected to Wi-Fi, the yeedi will start by running a mapping run and then storing a map of your home. This can take some time, but it’s worth the wait. The only downside is that the app can only store one map, which could be a bit of a problem if you live in an area with multiple floors or different types of flooring.
Once yeedi is mapped, you can use the app to set virtual boundaries and no-go zones for it to avoid. You can also use the app to schedule cleaning sessions. You can even use the yeedi to mop your floors with its new oscillating mopping system, although you’ll have to purchase an extra mopping rag.
It’s easy to clean
When the dust pan gets full, you can simply lift the lid and empty it. You’ll need to occasionally change the filters and brushes, which yeedi sells on Amazon. Once the robot has a clean slate, it will be much more effective.
Another great feature is 3D obstacle avoidance, which uses structured light technology to detect obstacles and avoid them. This makes it much easier for the yeedi to get around furniture and other objects, and even works on carpets.
The yeedi app is easy to use and allows you to set cleaning cycles, schedules, vacuuming power, water flow levels for mopping and a cleaning log. It also lets you draw bounding boxes on a map to get your yeedi to clean a specific area. This is a great feature for homes with multiple floors and rooms. You can also choose to clean rooms in order of importance, so the yeedi will concentrate on these areas before moving on.

Once you’ve downloaded the yeedi app and unboxed the vacuum, all you have to do is set up a home Wi-Fi network, follow the app instructions and let the yeedi map your space. Once it’s mapped, you can set up virtual boundaries and no-go zones in the app.
Another new feature is the yeedi’s ability to sense dropped objects and navigate around them. I tested it with a discarded sock and a fake dog poop, and the robot avoided both. This is a significant improvement over previous yeedi models, which were often trapped by these items. The yeedi’s brush is surprisingly powerful, too, with 3000pa of suction. It did a fantastic job of vacuuming up my carpet and even managed to get into the corners around the skirting board and kitchen plinth.
