Can I really lose 20 pounds in 30 days? It is healthy? It is easy? You may be surprised! In this article I am going to share my simple strategy to lose exactly 22 pounds in a month, and how anyone who wants to can copy my step-by-step plan. Do you want to know how I did it? Read on as I lay it all out for you below!

How I Lost Exactly 22 Pounds in 30 Days or Less…Without Drugs, Danger, or Fasting

Step #1: Choose a program that you KNOW you will follow. No more “fasting” programs, dangerous “bacon and egg” diets, or magical “overnight” weight loss programs. Find something sensible, something you know you can do, and preferably something you can “recycle” over and over again if you need to lose weight in the future. While there is certainly more than one option, I will share with you the diet I used below.

Step #2: Identify ALL of the empty calories you normally consume in a day. write them down (because you will eliminate them completely for the next 30 days… 🙂 What are empty calories? For me…it meant an average of 3 colas (450 calories total), a chocolate bar or similar candy at lunch (about 250 calories AND 20 grams of fat too), and a late-night “snack” that I usually ate around 10 or 10:30 pm while planning my itinerary for the next day. (Usually several handfuls of pretzels, chips, or similar snacks… I guessed this was about 200 calories a night on the conservative side… 🙂

Step #3: Eliminate all of the foods identified in step #2 from your diet. Believe it or not… while MY “empty” calories don’t seem like much (mainly the soda was hurting me) simply removing these calories from my diet was ONLY responsible for about 8 pounds of the 22 I lost over the course of the month . 7000 calories a week, that’s about 2lbs of “automatic” weight loss all things being equal… and after a day or two of substitution (water and no calorie sodas for soda, and low calorie but berries) rich in phytonutrients from sweets) In fact, I FELT better, and didn’t miss the “junk” at all for the rest of the month. Very easy. (although you also want cake… 😉

Step #4: Follow the program you chose in step #1 with discipline, commitment, and vigor. Make sure you have a “moving and moving” component to your diet…because if you don’t, you will NOT lose weight or copy my success. (movement really just means exercise…but SOME moves are much better at emulating the kind of results you really want than others)

Step #5 and beyond: Things I did that you might NOT want to do? I use visualization to “imagine” what my body would look like at the end of the month. I tried some crazy “manifests” and pull style success thinking with I think that helped too… but it may not be necessary for you. I thought positively and practiced being grateful for the beautiful body I had already been blessed with…and for all the improvements I could see (and feel) coming daily.

Of course, I also did all the other things, like drinking 8 glasses of water a day and substituting snacks, like above, when I had cravings. It was pretty easy overall… and my body looks “almost” like new… 🙂

The truth is…..

Anyone can lose weight if they really want to. And when YOU do…just copy my basic model above and you should get the same great results. I hope you will…simply because being slim and fit DOES feel great! (and he had almost “forgotten” how good he could look too… 🙂
