Having spent a great deal of time sneakily snooping online, being constantly bombarded with weak copy and completely fledgling from average writers, you can imagine my surprise when I was sold on a business solution in a box for affiliate marketing aspirations.

In my capacity as a business coach outside of the online community, I have to tell you that big writing really annoys me. Seriously folks, I mean it. In fact, I’m sure there’s another article going around in my head with a title like “10 Things I Hate About Compelling Ad Copy.” You’ll have to watch out for that… Watch this space.

The reason I decided to buy my business in a box and join the tens or hundreds of thousands of affiliate marketers trying to make a living in a booming market was because, like most people, I was fed up with the rat race. . That’s why I watched… and waited… biding my time until some so-called money machine tapped my shoulder with a telltale smile saying something along the lines of “you’ve come home”, or “at least we’ve we have found’.

Smart Money websites accomplished this. They did it through some important copywriting techniques. You see, in general, what annoys me with great writing is simple. takes me It brings out my impulses and guides me to where the writer wants to take me. Like I said, Smart Money websites accomplished this so even though I wasn’t ready to make a purchase, their copy was just too good.

You’ve seen how good he is in fiction. It grabs you and makes the story more enjoyable. When good copywriters do the same, completing the job invariably means I spend my hard-earned money, and I usually don’t like to do that! Don’t forget, as a marketer and trainer outside of the cyber community, I like to be in control of writing and often feel cheated when this sort of thing happens – spending money on something you may not need.

Strangely, when I got over my initial pain, I never for a moment suffered from “buyer’s remorse” or equivalent. That’s a good sign.

In many ways, great writing can make me feel out of control. Out of my comfort zone. It should do the same for you. I am educated in the art well enough to see what they are doing, yet the teachers can still guide me where they want, just like the Smart Money website did. Lucky that the product represented quality. So, combine quality products with quality copywriting and you can’t go wrong.

Enough of “complaining” about getting sucked into buying business-in-a-box. I’m not really complaining because the product I bought was a fraction of its market value and I wanted to show you that even leaders can be leaders sometimes.

If you take a look at the advertising on Smart Money websites (this article or other emails and sporadic search engine pages), you must agree that the power of great writing comes down to two things.

CURIOSITY

For human beings, the desire to know is a powerful force, often stronger than we realize. Unfortunately, that has led to the word ‘secrets’ being overused, especially when it comes to promoting affiliate programs. Humans want to know. Think about it and apply it to what you do… if you have something good and you know it mocking with it, you can make the sale.

As stark as that last statement is, it is still the truth. The big writing is more or less mocking. However, and this is important, it is the taunts that offer a solution. Let’s not forget that even though I wasn’t directly on the market, I was looking. Then suddenly the Smart Money websites offered me a solution, so convincing was the solution that I had to buy.

What exactly was the solution? I had a need to get into affiliate marketing. I was constantly being sold to by unscrupulous sellers who couldn’t write copies. Your copy did not arouse my curiosity.

So how does Smart Money Websites rate the quality of your writing? In two ways: when people buy and when people stay. Studies show that the longer a person stays on your website and the more they scroll and change pages, the more likely they are to make a purchase. That’s why most affiliate marketing websites have “action” buttons and links that send the consumer to another site or ask them to fill out a form. That is what the editor is looking for. However, the solution can only be accessed when the reader takes action. The action is a purchase, a click on another website, filling out a form, or whatever the copywriter is looking for.

When you’re writing copy, it’s important to first define the action you want people to take at the end of your words. Defining the action you want them to take guides you in your writing.

When using curiosity as a motivator, hint at the information your solution will provide to the reader once they take the action you want. Provide tantalizing snippets of information that allow them to begin to see where you are going. It’s important that you save the bulk of the information, or what will tie all your pieces of information together, and then get the consumer to take action.

Tell them what they will know after they agree to your solution, and create enough desire to know that they themselves will overcome any objections they may have. Smart Money Websites removed the risk associated with purchasing affiliate marketing programs online by offering me a two-week trial for $1.00. That is a winning combination.

BENEFITS

When you express the benefits the reader gets from your solution, you are using another method to move people to action. When thinking about benefits, always focus on “What’s in it for me?” Therefore, Smart Money websites are fully automated. And that? That is the feature. The benefits related to the feature are that I don’t have to worry about “back-office” type of administration and just focus on driving traffic to the site, which of course means higher sales.

Therefore, specific benefits are better than generalities as well. The better you explain what your reader will know, have, or be able to do after they take the action required to get your solution, the more likely they are to take that action.

You may have noticed that I have been repeating the words ‘action’ and ‘solution’ a lot. You’re probably sick of reading them, but… That’s where the focus of your writing should be.

The solution is what people want and the action is what you want.

Copywriting is all about giving your readers enough reasons to keep reading and stay with you, using curiosity and profit, to seek the solution you offer, even if they have to take your action first.

You may be thinking that I am unique in my resistance to taking action, but in essence I am just like you. We are all resistant to taking action. No one wants to be induced to do something, especially when it comes to giving money.

People don’t want to do what you want them to do. They will only act if they think they are getting the best part of the deal.

The sizzle that makes the sale happen when your words put others in control of doing what you want them to do. In the case of Smart Money websites, the sausage sizzled and by the time I ate my little BBQ sausage I was sated.

To summarize, here are the steps you follow when you write.

1. Define the actions you want your readers to take.

2. List the benefits that what you are offering will bring them. It is often good practice to list a feature and then a corresponding benefit.

3. Determine which people who don’t have what you’re offering might be curious about it. He’s good when it comes to money.

4. Create your headline or title, the most important part of your copy; from the most compelling benefit or point of curiosity you have listed

5. Create a want to know based on the curiosity points you listed and show the benefits people will receive from taking the action you defined.

6. Ask them to take that action.

There you have it, that’s the basics behind great writing. It’s about having the direction and ideas ready before you start writing. It’s also about being specific. Generalizations are often called “hype” and we have all witnessed this on the internet. The Smart Money websites did not use exaggerations at all. They used solutions, solutions, solutions. Be specific, so people know where you’re going and are more likely to follow you.

Remember, the sizzle is not in the seller’s mind at the time of purchase, it belongs to the buyer. Otherwise, they don’t buy. Your job when you write is to put it there.
