Sober living communities

“The Transcend Life community of sober living communities provides a secure place for people experiencing addiction and mental health problems to live with other like-minded individuals.” Our community-based approach omits the religious aspect of the program in order to maintain an environment of total acceptance and tolerance. We believe that our approach respects the individual’s right to choose which path they want to pursue – whether it’s outpatient, residential, spiritual or medical. When we accept this premise, we encourage you to come and join us! We are glad to share with you some of the fundamental beliefs of The Transcend Life program.

An integral part of the Transcend Life community is our 12-step program. Each week, a resident attends an in-house AA meeting where they will receive ongoing guidance and assistance in their recovery. Many of our residents have previously or currently been through treatment for addiction. Through group and individual therapy, they are able to gain confidence and independence and begin the journey on a new path towards sobriety and health.

There are several peer support groups within our sober living community. There are meetings for those interested in the recovery process, and there are professional groups that are available for meetings and phone calls on specific issues such as medication, support, or life skills. A majority of our residents have previously or currently been through treatment for substance addiction.

Sober living communities – Benefits of a good Sober living

Many of our residents have families who are supportive and have encouraged them to participate in the recovery process and be part of the sober living community. This gives them a sense of being safe when they return home to their families. It allows them to feel that their families are aware of their situation and are actively involved in their recovery. It also gives them a sense of being safe if they choose to stay in an out-patient treatment program during the recovery process.

One of the greatest benefits of a good drug treatment program is that it allows a person to slowly come out of the addiction. With the help of family, friends, and the staff of the sober living community, the individual begins to feel more comfortable with their decisions and actions. They gain the confidence needed to develop the personal responsibility needed to succeed in the recovery process. Most importantly, they learn how to live without relying on drugs. They no longer feel driven to use substances, which allows them to concentrate on other things such as family, friends, and work.

As a leading organization that reaches out to those looking to find a solution to their problems, we believe that a drug treatment program is key to the successful transition into a drug-free lifestyle. Whether someone has just begun attending a sober living community or has been sober for years, a drug treatment program can be the bridge that helps someone overcome their addiction. By attending a drug treatment program and having ongoing support from the main staff, a person can be well on their way to becoming drug-free.
