Do you carry the arms of your leader? I started this conversation with the question to myself, as if I was becoming one. Are you a wielder of armor? As I think about the question, the first thought that occurs to me. What do I do or what should I be?

1. What do I do? The most basic task of an armor bearer is to be a helper. If I am a wielder of armor, I should be helping someone in leadership or the assigned leader.

2. What should it be? In response to that, as a wearer of armor I am an anointed person with a call to help, assist, care, protect, etc.

This new title of armor bearer, the Spirit of the Lord has allowed the Body of Christ to use it as a helper, is a renewed word for us in the 21st century. As you may already know, the word squire comes from the Greek word, Pot which means, help or assist.

This title is used to bring a fresh anointed spirit of service to the Body of Christ. I see the Lord using him to help and strengthen his Leadership Body and fivefold ministry in these last days.

Still, I have come to realize that not everyone agrees with this so-called armor-bearer ministry. Some even speak of it as a sham. Although I do not agree that it is a sham; I have to say that if the Church is not careful, (the role of armor bearer in the church) it could turn into something that it shouldn’t be.

I hate to say it, but the enemy has us fighting each other more than we should these days. But we know that this is their job, the enemy. I just wish we didn’t allow him to be so successful. This should not be like that! In the Body of Christ we must live to be a Body of unity.

That is why my wife and I are very careful to set the best example of the Spirit of God when we speak or teach about this ministry called Armor. We are doing all we can to continue to lay a true foundation of the fruit of Christ. We impart the spirit of service everywhere we go. Personally, I believe that as long as the armor bearer ministry remains as it is, it is an aid ministry; will stay safe.

If it’s pushed beyond what it’s supposed to be, the Lord may have to step in and do some ironing. So if we are wise, we will not take it beyond the ministry of Helps and the service in the local church.

If a team of armor bearers are located in a solid church / Body of Christ practicing the Word of God, loving the Church this will keep the ministry balanced. This is my recommendation.

I can say this; my local church, its leadership, and the levels of authority structure that are established established a true foundation in our armor-bearer ministry. In our church, your leadership ensures that the intention of the ministry is carried out correctly. Which means that he makes sure that the armor bearers serve. This is why I love the church / congregation coverage. I pray it will be the same for teams across the United States and the world.

Armor-bearers remain faithful to the pattern that God has given in the Scriptures

Now I know that the church is not the same everywhere. I know that the ministry of armor bearers may have to function with two or three different titles, naturally that is fine. But it is very important to make sure we stay true to the foundation of the ministry. Trying to do it more than it should be could be harmful. So the armor bearers stay true to God’s scriptural pattern, his leadership, and serve faithfully. “

As an example, I can say this because I have been there. I believe that all armor bearers will understand what I say and what I mean. When the squire is in that great central circle of fivefold leadership and enjoying that anointing, you wake up week after week. If we’re not careful, we can step up and say to ourselves prematurely, “Hey, I can do this.”

You know how Miriam did when she said to her brother Moses: “Hey brother, the Lord also speaks to me …” In her attitude and her words, she sinned and got into trouble. As the story goes, she became ill with leprosy due to her sin and her brother had to pray for her. That example is a bit strong; but it makes the point.

In short, we must stay in place. We must remain in our place of service and not leave it prematurely. What I am asking you, I know is something difficult. But if you want to do it the right way, you will go through the process. The Lord will see you and bless you.

You see, I can teach about this because my pastor just wouldn’t allow it to malfunction. Here is a little testimonial; I was ordained a Baptist minister in ’95. In later years, my wife and I joined Covenant Church. We served as armor bearers for over a decade and as leaders in helping ministry in our church and local community.

Anyway, my point is that most of the people in our church had no idea that I was an experienced minister because Earma and I embraced our season of service. We didn’t run madly for the mic every time it got close. No, we humble ourselves and stay in place until our time came. After faithful service, the Lord blessed and promoted us. So I encourage you to stay true to your calling wherever you are serving until God takes you to the next level.

ARMOR

Now before I finish this article, I wanted to talk to you about the Armor-Bearing title and the Arm-Bearing concept. As you know from the Scriptures, this idea was derived from the great battle in which Moses is commanded to hold the staff of God over the battle to defeat God’s enemies, the Amalekites.

As long as the staff is held high, the Israelites were victorious, but when Moses loses strength and the staff is lowered, the enemy triumphs. Then brother Moses and the priest Aaron and the Levite Hur placed a large stone for him to sit on. Aaron and Hur raised their arms to hold their staff up like a pole and as they did so, the battle was won. And so it is with us, we as shipowners raise the arms of our leader in the battle of faith and victories will be won. Exodus 17: 8-13

This concept solidifies the true act of the Ministry of Aid, which includes the Shipowners and the service they provide. You can say, “We are the ones who raise the hands of our leaders.” This is what the whole ministry is about in this act of service, nothing more and nothing less meaning the basis of the ministry itself and the concept of it.

“We armor bearers are anointed supporters of our leadership and in this we are planting seeds that we will reap in our future ministry to come.”
