Sesame Street has been a pioneer in early childhood education and entertainment for preschool children. Jim Henson is the creator of the adorable Muppet characters from the children’s television series. More than 4,000 episodes have been produced since November 1969, making Sesame Street one of the longest running television shows in television history.

– Grover is a blue burst monster with a pink nose. Grover has been a waiter and often serves his customers inappropriate food.

– Big Bird is a tall yellow bird that lives in a nest in an abandoned block in a garbage heap, where his friend Snuffy, a large brown creature, regularly visits Big Bird.

– Oscar the Grouch is green noseless and always grumpy and lives in a garbage can with his pet worm Slimey and the pet elephants Fluffy, Blitzen, Schopenhauer and Sophie.

– Cookie Monster is a blue furry monster and has an appetite for anything and every day he fights the urge to eat the icing letters on cookies during the Letter of the Day segment.

– Elmo is a red furry monster with an orange nose and bulging eyes. Elmo features a theme every day at Elmo’s World segment on Sesame Street.

– Zoe is an orange furry female monster and is Elmo’s girlfriend. Zoe loves ballet and always wears a pink tutu and has a pet rock named Rocco.

– Kermit is a green frog and presents the flash news segment.

– Bert and Ernie are roommates. Bert enjoys activities like watching pigeons and collecting paper clips and bottle caps, and Ernie likes to bathe with his rubber ducky.

Over the years, Sesame Street has been an entertaining television series for young children and the Muppets of Sesame Street appear on many children’s toy boxes around the world.
