If you’re like I used to be, your current problems have held you back for more than a few months. you have Dear be taking the first step. But how??

We do this for several reasons. Some more obvious than others.

For example, if a lack of confidence is holding you back, there are probably several secondary issues affecting your entire situation.

You may feel too tired; stressed stressed; hurt; overwhelmed; too scared. Or your fear may be internal, hidden, manifesting as apparent laziness and comfort.

Maybe you don’t know how to plan your time. Maybe you prioritize badly. Or maybe you don’t feel comfortable making the right decisions.

The correct choices are different from everyday ones, such as choosing what to wear, what to eat, when to sleep, what to read, etc. For the most part, that makes small differences in our lives.

Rather, making the right decision is the last thing anyone does before permanently changing their life for the better.

The right choice has will and focus behind it. A will to go in a certain direction; a focus in the same direction.

Now, those things in themselves don’t make any “correct” choices. (I’m sure many assassins also had will and focus…) But any correct choice will necessarily include will and focus.

So why is it so difficult for people with little confidence to make the right choice?

I wish I could present a simple but amazing reason here. But the fact is that people are different, and so are their untrusted sources, respectively.

Some may not know what they want. Others might, but then they may be too afraid of failure and humiliation. – Or even liability and exposure after successful completion.

Whatever it is, here’s the good news:

While taking the first step may seem difficult, the first step matters less than you might think.

So what really matters is that no matter how you feel, go ahead and do it anyway.

If it’s scary. But you they can have to.

Consider how great musicians and speakers get nervous before taking the stage. Hell, great artists are among the most notoriously depressed people in the world.* But they do it anyway.

I’m not making you feel bad about yourself. I am saying, whatever you want to do can be done.

And if you don’t know what you want, you won’t discover it by wallowing in inactivity, but by going out and gathering new inspiration.

Remember: you can always change direction. If you’re stuck somewhere, you probably won’t evolve. But whatever new place you go, you will learn new things that will help you later.

All you have to do is take that first step to get going.

ACTION ITEM:

1) Write down your top three values, your top three strengths, and your top three interests.

2) Take the largest from each category and write three possible ways to combine the three into something you would like to do.

3) choose one.

4) Write down the top three things you can do to make this happen.

5) For the next three days, do one of these things.

6) Repeat points 4) to 5).

Congratulations: You are taking the first step.
