This is because you are making a statement in the present that relates directly to you, for example, if your goal is to lose weight, then you could use the following statements:

I am thinner every day.

I am going to lose 15 pounds.

I am eating a healthy diet every day.

I am getting fitter and stronger.

I look better than ever.

Can autosuggestion work for me?

In the beginner, autosuggestion will feel very foreign to you, and may feel a bit silly, but hold your ground. You also have to put some real faith in your autosuggestion program and believe that it is really going to work for you. Practice autosuggestion every day and start to see yourself as you want to be.
